About this tool

Paste text in any format — plain English, snake_case, kebab-case, PascalCase, or SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE — and the camelCase version appears on the right automatically. Word boundaries are detected regardless of the input’s current casing.

Frequently asked questions

What input formats does this detect?
Any of them, automatically — plain English with spaces, snake_case, kebab-case, PascalCase, or SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE. Word boundaries are found by splitting on spaces, underscores, hyphens, and dots, plus camelCase/PascalCase humps, so mixed input like "Hello World_foo-bar" converts correctly in one pass.
How are numbers handled?
A digit run stays attached to the word before it, so "myVar2Name" is treated as three parts ("my", "Var2", "Name") and round-trips back to exactly "myVar2Name" if you convert it to camelCase again.
How are acronyms handled?
An acronym run splits at the point where it meets a new capitalized word — "XMLParser" becomes "xmlParser", not "xMLParser".
Does this work on multiple lines?
Yes — each line is converted independently, and line breaks in your input are preserved in the output.
