About this tool
Paste text and the Sentence case version appears on the right automatically — first letter of each sentence capitalized, the rest lowercased, and a standalone "i" corrected to "I".
Frequently asked questions
- What does Sentence case do exactly?
- It capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and lowercases everything else, including a standalone lowercase "i" which becomes "I" — matching normal prose conventions.
- Does it capitalize proper nouns and places?
- Not automatically — Sentence case only capitalizes sentence starts. Turn on "Auto-correct proper nouns and abbreviations" below and add your own terms to keep brand names and known terms correctly cased no matter what.
- How are sentence boundaries detected?
- A period, question mark, or exclamation mark followed by whitespace starts a new sentence, whose first letter is then capitalized.
- Is my text sent to your servers?
- No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste here is sent to WebCodeIn's servers, logged, or stored.
