Frequently asked questions
- What's the file size limit?
- 8MB — plenty for a typical photo or graphic.
- Is transparency preserved?
- Yes — WebP supports an alpha channel, so transparent areas in the source PNG stay transparent.
- Is my image uploaded anywhere?
- No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — the file never leaves your device.
